1 brown onion

12 hard-boiled eggs , peeled, halved

1/2 cup vegetable stock

1 tablespoon tandoori paste

1 cup fresh coriander leaves (cilantro)

1 tablespoon fresh ginger , grated

1 1/2 cups basmati rice

1/2 cup slivered almond

2 tomatoes , peeled, chopped (see note)
