1 lb (455 g) Puff Pastry, if dough is frozen allow to thaw to a workable

1 lb (455 g) Fresh Berries, cut into 1/2" pieces

1 c Pastry Cream (recipe follows)

Egg Wash (1 egg white mixed w/ 1 tbsp. water)

Powdered Sugar (optional)

3/4" dowel needed for cutting strips for crossovers

1 c (240 ml) Milk

2 T (15 g) Cornstarch

4 T (60 g) Granulated Sugar

pinch of Sea Salt

1 lrg Egg

1/4 t (1 ml) Vanilla Extract
