2-3 teaspoons salt

2 eggs , lightly beaten

Pasta Mixture

1 medium onion , finely chopped

3 cloves crushed garlic (or more)

4 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes

1 cup parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

2-3 teaspoons basil

2-3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

uncooked Italian sausage , cut into 1 to 2 inch pieces

2-3 tablespoons brown sugar

2-3 teaspoons oregano

Sauce

2 lbs ziti pasta , cooked and drained

1 1/2-2 lbs ricotta cheese
