2 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs, about 12 ounces total, seasoned with salt and pepper

2 cups diced onion

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 cups (2 15-ounce cans) black beans

1 14-ounce can diced tomatoes, with juice

1/4 cup cilantro

1/2 ounce dark chocolate, chopped
