Ingredients for 16 servings

1 (16 ounce) box uncooked ziti pasta (or use penne pasta)

1 1/2 cups grated parmesan cheese , divided (or to taste)

2 lbs ground beef or Italian sausages, with casings removed (or use 1 pound each)

8-10 cups favorite prepared pasta sauce (or use one 4.3-ounce jar pasta sauce)

fresh ground black pepper (to taste)

1-2 tablespoon fresh minced garlic

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (you will need more to sprinkle on top after baking)

1 teaspoon dried chili pepper flakes (to taste) (optional)

2-3 teaspoons seasoning salt

1 green bell pepper , seeded and chopped

1 large onion , chopped
