1 cup glutinous rice flour

1/3 cup mashed cooked kabocha squash

1 1/2 cups water

The Sauce

2 cups coconut milk, preferably Buddha Delight brand

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons palm sugar or light brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste

2 fresh or frozen pandanus leaves, lightly bruised, folded and tied into a knot
