I skipped the nuts and raisins and added dark chocolate chips - thought the recipe called for a few too many chips though. Also subbed half a banana and veg oil for the 2 eggs - came out amazing!!

This was such an easy recipe.... The cookies only lasted three days in our house! They come out thick and slightly crispy on the edges but moist and chewy in the middle.

Ingredients for 24 servings

2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup brown, sugar, firmly packed

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs, at room temperature

4 cups semisweet chocolate morsels

1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans

1 cup raisins
