Ingredients

BASIC TART CRUST:

1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup vegetable shortening

2 tablespoons ice water (more as necessary)

PIE:

1 recipe basic tart crust (as shown above)

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

2 egg yolks

1/2 cup sugar

2 tablespoons cornstarch

pinch of salt

3 cups milk

4 ounces good-quality white chocolate, finely chopped

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon raspberry liqueur (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

fresh raspberries for garnish

chocolate curls for garnish
