1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 2-inch cubes

Salt and pepper to taste

2 carrots, cut into 2-inch-thick rounds

2 tablespoons honey

1/2 cup raisins

1 cinnamon stick, or 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup canned low-salt chicken broth

1 cup water

1 package couscous mix (with separate spice package, such as Near East or Fantastic)

1/4 cup toasted almond slivers (optional)
