1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt

1 tablespoon curry powder

1/2 to 3/4 cup olive oil

1/2 cup creme fraiche or sour cream

3 cloves garlic

1/2 cup flour

1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger

1/2 cup cooked lentils reserved from Lentil Soup recipe

1 1/2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced (1 tablespoon)

3 carrots, chopped into 1/4-inch pieces (1/2 cup)

2 1/4 teaspoons salt


1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

3 strips bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

1/2 pound carrots, peeled

1 large onion, minced (1 cup)

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Lentil crackers, recipe follows

1 pound dried lentils

Parsley Oil, recipe follows

1 rib celery, finely chopped (1/2 cup)

2 quarts chicken stock

1/4 cup chopped parsley leaves
