Modifications made: used sweet potato and celery in place of white potato and squash. Also used jalapeƱos in place of chilis and added Southwest Chipotle seasoning. And lastly used 1/2c black beans and 1 cups shredded Chix. Good stuff.

Ingredients for 4 servings

1 lb fresh ground turkey, chicken or pork (use 1 15-oz can black beans for vegan)

1 x onion

4 Cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Cumin

1 tsp chili powder- hot or mild, to taste

1 1/2 cup peeled butternut squash, diced

2 large white gold potatoes, peeled, diced

3 Medium carrots, chopped

1 cup roasted chopped green chiles- mild or hot, to taste

1 quart Chicken broth

sea salt and ground pepper (to taste)

Juice from 1 large juicy lime

3 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro

2 tsp raw sugar or raw agave nectar, as needed
