Brown Rice Spaghetti With Basil & Smoked Turkey Bacon

Ingredients for 4 servings

1 package brown rice spaghetti

1 pack smoked turkey bacon (trader joe's)

1/2 box Organic Cherry Tomatoes

1 Handfull chopped Basil

2 minced Garlic cloves

1/2 white onion diced

1 handfull shaved parmesan cheese



Drizzle some nice olive oil in a sautee pan and set to medium heat. When pan heats up all throw in a handful of minced garlic and 1/2 of a sweet onion diced. (You can decide how much of each.) Next add in a whole pack of smoked turkey bacon all chopped up (I got it from Trader Joe’s.) Let the onion, garlic and turkey bacon hang out together for like 5 minutes or so. Toss in a handfull of chopped fresh basil. Finally add in about half a box of cherry tomatoes halved. Tomatoes cook down really quickly and will add a lot of liquid to the pan, this is fine it’s just adding more sweet acidic flavor. The last thing I did, and you can experiment with this is, is putting in a tiny bit of maranara sauce, or any red sauce in to thicken it all up (use your own judgement here.) I used shaved parmesan cheese to top it off with but also added a bunch in to the mix every so often just cause I was bored.


Oh and I almost forgot…cook your spaghetti. I used a whole package of brown rice spaghetti. Boil for around 8-10 minutes then drain and give it a good rince before serving. Put the spaghetti into the pan with the sauce and give it a few tosses and serve away. Make this for your lady and she will love you long time. Just the smell of this alone will do it for her. Enjoy!
