1¾ cup water

1½ Tbsp olive oil

2 medium acorn squash, halved and seeded

1 tsp butter

½ medium onion, minced

⅔ cup chopped walnuts

¼ tsp minced garlic (about half a small clove)

¼ tsp salt (rounded measure)

1 medium apple, chopped

¼ cup dried cherries (halved or quartered, if overly large)
