Ingredients for 6 servings

1 (5.3-ounce) package basil and roasted garlic goat cheese, or 6 ounces soft fresh herb-flavored goat cheese, at room temperature

2 tablespoons capers

Salt and pepper

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, cut into pieces, at room temperature

1/4 cup garlic powder

1/4 cup black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves

1(3-pound) boneless veal loin

Reserved cheese mixture

House Seasoning, recipe follows

8 bacon slices

3 medium shallots, finely chopped

2 3/4 cups chicken broth

1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese with chives, at room temperature

1/4 cup lemon juice

Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

2 large yellow bell peppers, roasted

1 bunch arugula, stems trimmed

14 oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, drained

Olive oil

16 large fresh basil leaves

1 cup salt

2 tablespoons butter
