8 Ingredients

  • 1 recipe Basic Pie Dough (see related recipe at   left)
  • 3/4 cup plus 5 Tbs. all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup plus 1 Tbs. granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 8 Tbs. (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into 3/4- inch pieces
  • 5 cups blueberries

Wonderful and the pie keeps well and just gets better. I would tweak the recipe and make s double crust and combine the crumble into the top layer of the crust. As constructed the crumble, as it cooks with the bubbling juices, creates a crust, but I think it is missing something without the flaky buttery goodness of a top layer of crust. Also, I highly recommend Martha Stewart's crust Recipe for her own blueberry crumble pie.
