1 1/2 cup long grain basmati rice (soak in double the amount of water for 15 minutes)

1 1/2 cups vegetable of choice (I used carrots and peas)

1/2 cup onion (thinly sliced)

2 tablespoon ghee

1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

2 dry bay leaves

1 teaspoon black peppercorns

4-5 cloves

1 cinnamon stick
