  • 1 cup all-natural chunky or smooth peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 x egg
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • about 1/4 cup any fruit preserves you fancy

my mom made a very similar version of this cookie...it had flour, baking soda, peanut butter (smooth), egg, vanilla, and when done, a dollop of jam in the middle. We all loved them. that's the reason I 'faved' this recipe.

So you are saying that your ingredients are different? That would make it a different recipe then. With a title like peanut butter and jelly cookies, there are bound to be numerous versions of it floating about as well. This particular recipe was most likely created for those who are gluten intolerant. You know, following a recipe is good, but sometimes one has to work with what they have making it one of those necessity is the mother of invention type things.
