1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup apple juice or apple cider

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice, optional

Coarse sugar such as Turbinado, Raw, or Demerara
