3 cups (525 g) granulated sugar

3 cups (360 g) unbleached all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup (2.6 ml) Irish cream liqueur or milk (I prefer Carolans Irish Cream, but you can use whatever brand you like.)

1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup (145 g) chopped pistachios

1 cup (130 g) confectioners’ sugar, sifted

1 tablespoon Irish cream liqueur

2 to 3 teaspoons milk
