1/2 cup vegetable oil

For the Okra

Creole Seasoning, to taste

1 tablespoon chopped garlic

1/8 teaspoon grated nutmeg

Parsley, to garnish

1/4 cup buttermilk

1 cup flour

4 medium sweet potatoes, baked and peeled (about 2 pounds)

Salt, to taste

2 quarts beef stock

1 cup chopped celery

1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) butter, softened

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup yellow cornmeal

3 eggs

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
