1 medium roasting chicken , chopped into stewing-sized pieces

1 teaspoon sugar

10 pieces young jackfruit

2-3 kaffir lime leaves

to make the curry paste (rempah)

2 garlic cloves

4-5 slices galangal

1 teaspoon malay shrimp paste (belacan)

salt and pepper

1 stalk lemongrass

6-8 shallots

1 teaspoon ground coriander

3 chili, padis sliced

2 cm fresh turmeric, sliced

2 candlenuts
