1-pound brioche loaf

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1/4 pound semisweet chocolate, chopped

2 cups heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup 2% milk

1/2 cup sugar

6 large egg yolks, whisked to blend

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Pinch of kosher salt

Caramel Orange Sauce:

2 cups sugar

Pinch of cream of tartar

1 1/4 cups freshly squeezed blood orange juice, strained

1/8 teaspoon vanilla

1/8 teaspoon lemon juice
