2 tablespoons jarred, pickled jalapeƱo chile peppers, chopped

2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

1 can (14 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes

1 teaspoon minced onion

2 teaspoons southwest seasoning

1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed

1 package (8 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese (optional)

3 low-carb tortillas, 8" each, torn into strips and baked (optional)
