¾ cup whole milk (I prefer Straus Family Creamery organic cream top)

1 cup flour

1 egg

½ – 1 tsp vanilla extract

1 Tbsp sugar

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 Tbsp poppy seeds

1 lemon

⅓ cup lemon curd

Optional: powdered sugar for plating

2 Tbsp. lemon curd

4-5 Tbsp. freshly squeezed orange juice
