2 (6 ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts each sliced in half

2 cups buttermilk

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

2 tablespoons smoked paprika

2 tablespoons garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon chile powder

2 teaspoon cracked black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

vegetable oil for frying

2 cups shredded red and green cabbage

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup sweet and tangy bbq sauce

10 cornichons, cut in half lengthwise

1 vine ripe tomato, thinly sliced

1 loaf challah or brioche
