1/2 teaspoon Chilli powder

500 grams Continental masoor, (green lentils) (1lb)

2 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Grated zest and juice of 1 1/2 lemons

1 Onion, chopped

1/2 Cinnamon stick, broken

1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
