Very yummy, easy, and quick. I did not have ground cinnamon so added 1 stick instead and about 1/2 tsp of cardamom. That added a great flavor !

1 small onion, chopped

1/2 cup slivered almonds

1 1/2 cups uncooked basmati rice

1/2 cup golden raisins

1 1/2 teaspoons ground turmeric

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 cups chicken broth
