1 quart brandy

1 tablespoon ground allspice

1/2 lb almonds, finely chopped

2 quarts whiskey

2 whole nutmegs , grated

4 lbs sugar

1/2 lb candied citron peel , finely cut

1 tablespoon ground cloves
