3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup instant espresso powder or instant coffee

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 1/4 cups powdered sugar

2 to 3 tablespoons coffee-flavored liqueur, such as KahlĂșa

1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips (about 1 1/2 oz.)
