1 (15 ounce/425 g) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup sesame tahini (I prefer Ziyad brand, but any will do.)

2 teaspoons lemon juice

3 or 4 cloves garlic, minced

1 chipotle pepper in adobo

1 teaspoon adobo sauce, or to taste (optional)

2 to 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
