Ingredients for 2 servings

1 teaspoon cumin seed , roasted and ground to a powder

1 1/2 teaspoons red chili powder , indian style

1-4 green chilies , chopped & (seeded if you like)

1 lb boneless white-fleshed fish, cut into chunks

lemon juice , enough to wash fish with

salt

2 cloves garlic , minced

oil (for deep frying, as much as you need)

mint-cilantro chutney (optional)

chopped onion (optional)

tamarind chutney (optional)

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

chopped tomato (optional)

2 teaspoons ginger , minced

2 tablespoons cilantro leaves , finely chopped

3/4 cup garbanzo flour

lemon or lime wedge (optional)
