12 ounces elbow macaroni or other shape pasta (optional)

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 medium zucchini, sliced

2 small or 1 medium eggplant, cubed

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 can (14-19 ounces) white or navy beans,rinsed and drained
