Ingredients for 8 servings

30.0 cherries, pitted

4.0 peaches or nectarines, de-stoned and cut in segments

juice and peel of 2 oranges

3.0 star anise

4.0 whole cloves

1.0 cinnamon stick

3.0 tbsp light brown soft sugar

1.0 bottle of good-quality light red Spanish wine

100.0 ml Spanish brandy (I use brandy de Jerez)

100.0 ml Cointreau

500.0 ml lemonade

ice, to serve
