Ingredients

2 tablespoons minced lemongrass

1/2 tablespoon finely chopped shallots

2 teaspoons fish sauce

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 pound New York steak or any tender beef, cut against the grain into 1/4-inch-thick strips

1 green mango (about 1 pound), peeled, pitted and cut into thin 1 x 3-inch rectangular pieces

1/3 cup Chile-Lime Sauce (see recipe)

1 tablespoon chopped cilantro

1/4 cup Asian basil leaves, cut into thirds

2 tablespoons fried shallots (available in Asian markets)

2 tablespoons whole roasted peanuts
