1 stick of celery

1 carrot

3 cloves of garlic (1 fat clove for 2)

1 bay leaf

3 cups of pork mince (eyeball it – 3 full cupped hands) for 2 guesstimate about 1 cup

3 cups beef mince (again, eyeball it – 3 full cupped hands) for 2 guesstimate about 1 cup

1 bottle of wine (1/2 bottle for 2)

1 small can of tomatoes

1 tsp sugar

1 tbsp butter

1/2 tsp dried thyme or 1 tsp fresh thyme
