2 tablespoons butter

4 cups chicken broth, vegetable broth, or water, plus extra to adjust thickness at the end

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

1 teaspoon salt (plus more to taste)

1 tablespoon curry powder

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1 teaspoon honey

6 Tablespoons sour cream

2 tablespoons flat leaf parsley, chopped
