2 cup all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking soda

2 tsp ground ginger

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground allspice

1/4 tsp salt

8 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup dark molasses

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup (packed) light brown sugar, lump free

1 large egg

1/2 cup finely chopped crystallized ginger (2 ounces)

About 1/4 cup additional granulated sugar or coarse white sugar crystals, for rolling the cookies
