I don't like pumpkin flavored goods usually (pumpkin pie = yuck!) but these were really good. My family and coworkers loved them. The cream cheese frosting is delish.

Ingredients

2 cups flour

2 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground ginger (or 1/4 teaspoon grated fresh ginger)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened

1 cup packed light-brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 heaping cups pumpkin puree (fresh or one 15-ounce can)

1/2 cup buttermilk (store-bought or quick homemade clabbered milk)

3 large eggs
