Ingredients for 10 servings

2 lbs beef stew meat

2 teaspoons cumin

2 lbs veal, cut up

1 fresh lemon , cut in half

2 hard green apples , peeled and sliced

6 yellow onions , peeled

6 ears corn , each cob cut into 3 pieces

1 (28 ounce) can yellow hominy , with juice

3 turnips , peeled, kept whole

1 lb fresh green beans , end cuts, kept whole

6 pattypan squash or crookneck yellow squash, vine end cut off

1 veal knuckle, bone

2 large green chili peppers , whole

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons chili peppers

1 (28 ounce) can chopped tomatoes with juice

2 tablespoons white sugar or sugar substitute
