Ingredients for 6 servings

2 tablespoons fish or oyster sauce

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts , sliced in strips

2 red peppers or orange peppers (cored and seeded, sliced in thin strips)

1/2 teaspoon hot red chili pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup coarsely chopped fresh coriander

1 (10 ounce) can undiluted chicken broth , can use low sodium

2 tablespoons ketchup

1/2 lb rice noodles (about 1/2 pkg)

4 green onions , thinly sliced

3 cups boiled water , for noodles

1/4 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 cups bean sprouts

2 tablespoons sugar

1/2 lb peeled and deveined uncooked shrimp , fresh

6 garlic cloves (I use minced garlic)

1 egg

1/2 cup coarsely chopped mint leaf (optional)

1-2 teaspoon chili-garlic sauce (or to taste)
