5 teaspoons granulated sugar

The panna cotta:

3 tablespoons cold water

2 1/2 teaspoons (1 packet) unflavored gelatin

3 cups heavy cream

1/2 cup whole milk

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/3 cup sugar
