2 cups chopped onions

2 (14 ounce) cans reduced-sodium chicken broth

1/4 cup paprika

2 tablespoons chopped garlic , divided

1/4 teaspoon saffron thread

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 cup roasted red pepper, cut into strips

2 cups frozen artichoke hearts or cooked green beans , thawed (fresh or frozen,)

1/4 cup lime juice
