1/4 cup olive oil , divided

1 pint sour cream

1 pint heavy cream

1 medium onion , roughly chopped

2 (14 ounce) cans artichoke hearts , drained

2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (for topping)

salt and pepper, to taste
