2 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour (sift, then measure)

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons cream of tartar

1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

1 cups (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar plus 1/4 cup sugar

2 large eggs, room temperature

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons coconut, flaked and sweetened

*1/2 cup additional coconut (optional to add to cookie dough if desired)
