1 pound fresh beans, trimmed, Butter, Yellow Wax, Blue Lake, French

2 cups fresh shelled beans, Cranberry, Fava, Black Eye Peas, Calaco (optional)

¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 cup tomato, peeled, seeded and chopped

1 cup diced cucumber

½ cup finely diced red onion

½ teaspoon minced garlic

¼ cup chopped fresh basil

3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1 teaspoon kosher salt

¼ teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
