2 cup all purpose white flour (8.5 ounces/240 grams)

1/4 cup granulated sugar (2 ounces/58 grams)

1 tbsp baking powder (15 grams)

1/4 tsp baking soda (1 gram)

1/2 tsp coarse salt (2 grams)

6 tbsp cold butter, cut into 12 pieces (3 ounces)

2 oz bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped

1 1/4 cup buttermilk (280 ml)

1/2 pint Fresh raspberries

2 tsp coarse sugar, optional (10 grams)
