2 Tbs. chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

1/2 tsp. chopped fresh thyme

Freshly ground pepper, to taste

1 jar smoky bacon barbecue sauce

4 sourdough sandwich rolls, each about 5 inches long, halved lengthwise
