2 star anise

2 portabella mushroom caps , cut in half and sliced 1/4 inch thick

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 large leek , washed and sliced into 1/4 inch thick rounds

3 boneless skinless chicken breasts

6 cups fresh spinach

1 stalk celery , diced into 1/2 inch pieces

1 carrot , cut into 1 1/2 inch julienne strips

2 four inch cinnamon sticks

4 cloves garlic , minced

salt and pepper

8 cups low sodium chicken broth or homemade chicken stock

6 ounces egg noodles
