Ingredients for 4 servings

1 1/2 cup dried lentils

4 1/2 cups veggie stock or water

2 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons coconut oil (or vegetable oil)

2 cups diced onions

1 garlic clove minced or pressed

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon hot chili pepper flakes or cayenne or 1 small fresh hot chili minced

1 cup coconut milk
