3 tablespoons olive oil

2 large cloves garlic, minced

1/2 medium yellow or red onion, minced

1 can chickpeas (15-ounce), drained and rinsed

Juice of half a lemon

1 pound farfalle or other short pasta

1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted

Parmesan cheese to taste
